Good morning, and welcome to all our new members! 📖🌻☕
We begin by reading from Acts 3 on our schedule, and we see the man who had been lame from birth, whom Peter and John meet at the Beautiful Gate. He is entirely healed in an instant–amazing! We also see the transformation of Peter–so courageous and authoritative now.
Our final verse on forgiveness for this month is 1 John 1:9–the book(technically a letter) is written to believers and reminds us that God is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us. We practice our scripture memory passage today–Philippians 2:3-8–we’ll add verse 9 on Monday! For our new members, we are working toward committing this to memory, up to verse 11.
Streams in the Desert encourages us when we are “At the End of Our Strength”–God may keep away encouraging results until we believe without them. Our portion from Morning and Evening with Tozer tells us about “Glorious Contradictions”–a theme which comes up again toward the end of today’s podcast.
Spurgeon, in Faith’s Checkbook has “Divine, Ever-Living, Unchanging” as its title today–words all describing the nature and power of gospel truth. We have no prayer journal verse for today, as The Proverbial Homemaker schedule only goes through the 30th.
We conclude today’s podcast with “Love Lusters at Calvary” from The Valley of Vision:
O that my every breath might be ecstatic praise, my every step buoyant with delight, as I see my enemies crushed, Satan baffled, defeated, destroyed, sin buried in the ocean of reconciling blood, hell’s gates closed, heaven’s portal open.Go forth, O conquering God, and show me the cross, mighty to subdue, comfort and save.
