Good morning! Coming to you from the quiet stillness at Windy Poplars early this morning…join me, won’t you? 📖🌻☕
We read of Peter’s death sentence and miraculous delivery from prison today. So much to learn about praying in “faith believing” as the very people who were praying for him struggle to believe that God has actually answered their prayer. We add verse 10 on to our memory passage in Philippians 2…coming into the home stretch!
Our scripture writing passage is Isaiah 58:7-10, where God defines what serving others should look like. We consider “Grace in the Morning” in our reading from Streams in the Desert which includes some poetry by Harriett Beecher Stowe.
Tozer talks straight on the subject of “Christless Christianity”. I’m going back to read this again with a prayerful heart. Then we read about “The Dew of Heaven” in Faith’s Checkbook–“Without the Spirit of God I am a dry and withered thing. I droop, I fade, I die.”
Our prayer scripture to remind us that God is On The Throne is Exodus 33:14. He is our Rock, and His presence is with us. We close with the hymn text by William Cushing, “Hiding in Thee”. Lots about Moses today…how do you relate to him?
