“Safely Through Another Week”, as the old hymn text says! Let’s begin Friday well! 📖🌻☕
Reading in Romans 3 today as we make our way through the New Testament. Lots of familiar gospel truth in this chapter. We finish out this week working on Psalm 103:1,2 as we build on our scripture memory passage. On Monday, we’ll add verse 3.
Our scripture writing passage on rejoicing in the Lord is Psalm 66:8-15. God tries us as silver is tried. As the silversmith, He closely watches over us as the heat is applied to us, skimming off the dross and impurities…to what end? So that He can see His reflection in us.
Streams in the Desert today addresses “Broken Things” (stick with me here in the recording…my mic had some issues). The term “perfectly broken” got my attention…broken by design, with care, and with purpose. Remember that, friend. <3
Tozer tells us that it’s “Better Farther On”–truth that is not experienced is no better than error. We need to walk the walk, not only talk the talk. Let’s be ardent–I love that word, which is one we don’t see often today.
Spurgeon in Faith’s Checkbook explains how we can be “Sustained By Feeding” and the scripture for our prayer time from the free printable prayer journal from The Proverbial Homemaker is Ephesians 6:10-13 regarding the armor of God when we consider the topic of self control.
We close today with the hymn text, “Soldiers of Christ Arise” by Charles Wesley.
Thanks for joining me this morning!
