Happy Friday! 📖🌻☕ Finishing out this week and this month for our podcast today!
We are reading in Romans 13, speaking of those in authority and our responses to them. God is sovereign, even over ungodly leadership and administrations. He uses them for His purposes.
We write Romans 12 13-16 (which we just read yesterday!) today on the theme of rejoicing in the Lord, and this is the last day to practice memorizing Psalm 103:1-4. We’ll add verse 5 on Monday.
Streams in the Desert tells us about “The Old Refiner”…one day our trials will be done and He’ll see His reflection in us with perfect clarity. Morning and Evening with Tozer’s portion is entitled “More Than Pardon”…the gospel is so much more than a “fire escape”. We are commissioned to declare the total message.
In Faith’s Checkbook, Spurgeon writes about how to “Maintain the Difference”–we are to be peculiar people (not weird, but distinctively different). Our scripture prayer portion for today is Romans 8:1-6.
We conclude with a new (to me anyway) hymn text, “Take Thou Our Minds, Dear Lord”.
