Happy Tuesday! 📖🌻☕
Starting out by reading Romans 15 today, which includes one of my favorite verses: “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.” (v. 13)
Our scripture writing passage from The Ruffled Mango on Contentment is Philippians 2:14,15–and we do indeed live in a “crooked and perverse generation”. This week we practice memorizing Psalm 103:1-5.
Streams in the Desert tells us of “Expectations Beyond Us”–alluding to the account of Peter’s release from prison, and the disbelief among the believers in the house who were praying for that very thing. “Holy audacity”–love that term coined by A.B. Simpson.
Tozer writes of “Pleasing Meditation” suggesting that feeling compelled to be continually busy is a result of the fall–a very interesting notion to contemplate. Spurgeon discusses “Heavenly Wealth” in Faith’s Checkbook this morning…”wealth so large as to include every good thing”.
We close by considering the name of God, Jehovah-M’Kaddesh ( God who separates/sanctifies) from our free resource from The Navigators and the “Consecration Hymn” as our hymn text, “Take My Life And Let It Be”.
Grace and peace to you today, friends.
