Today we read 1 Corinthians 7 speaking of purity, honor, and God’s purposes in our relationships, and we finish practicing Psalm 103:1-6 together. Our scripture writing is 1 Timothy 6:10. Is money itself “the root of all evil”?
“Unadorned Life” is the topic for today’s portion from Streams in the Desert–“perhaps he whose plot is next to thine will see it and mend his own”.
Tozer writes about “The Witness of the Spirit” in Morning & Evening with Tozer: “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God” (Rom. 8:16). Faith’s Checkbook discusses how it is that “Sanctified Souls are Satisfied”. God must both convert and content us.
The attribute we look at this morning for our prayer time is God’s holiness, and we close with the hymn text, “Holy, Holy, Holy” by Reginald Heber (1826).
