This is a Christmas story that I first heard on the radio station WMUU (which has since been sold) in Greenville, SC, sometime back in the 80’s. It was read at that time by Mrs. Betty Panosian.
I’ve since tried to find the date when this first aired, as well as a source for the author of this story, to no avail. The internet is silent on tracing any information, as far as I can tell. So I guard my yellowed, type-written copy very closely. I hope it is a blessing to you and your family this holiday season.
Feel free to use this as a resource for your homeschool. It’s short enough (about 11 minutes) that it doesn’t stretch the attention span too far. You could use one of these free coloring pages for them to work on while they listen. There are various ones at the link, suitable for all skill levels.

Coloring while listening—a great combination for kids! Thank you for everything you share, Diane.
I’m all about multitasking, especially if it adds more fun! 🙂
