Let’s finish out this month with some excellent promises (He always keeps them, you know) from God’s Word, shall we? 📖🌻☕
We are reading in 1 Timothy 6 today, and Paul has more to say about our relationships as well as our priorities in this life and the correct perspective regarding wealth. Our final scripture writing passage on Flourishing from the Ruffled Mango is 1 John 2:15-17–what should we love? We add verse 19 to our scripture memory passage, Psalm 103:1-19.
Streams in the Desert tells us about “Quietness”–“His voice is heard above the scream of the wind in the cordage and the conflict of the billows, “Peace, be still!” Can you not hear it?”
Tozer discusses “Church Essentials” today–“Indeed I think that if some angel of God were made familiar with the church as it appears in the New Testament and then sent to the earth to try to locate it, it would be extremely doubtful whether the heavenly messenger would recognize anything now existing in the field of religion as the church he was looking for.” What does your church look like? Spurgeon in Faith’s Checkbook assures us that “God Always Hears”–“Because God is the living God, He can hear; because He is a loving God, He will hear; because He is our covenant God, He has bound Him- self to hear us.”
We close out this month with David’s prayer in Psalm 139:23-24 as our prayer scripture from our list at His Mercy Is New, and our song today is “Speak, O Lord” by Keith and Kristyn Getty. Tomorrow we begin our new month with some new scripture lists. See you then!
