Happy Friday, my friends! Let’s enjoy some fellowship around the Word 📖🌻☕
We are reading in Hebrews 5 this morning, reminding us of Christ’s role as our High Priest and Perfect Lam. Our scripture writing passage from The Ruffled Mango on the theme of Faithful Love is John 19:16b-19, and we finish practicing Psalm 103:1-21. We’ll add verse 22 on Monday and we’ll be finished with this memory passage a week from today!
Streams in the Desert reminds us today that “Faith Becomes Sight” and we get to hear a charming story of the faith of a little boy that is so instructive. Tozer encourages us with regard to “The Promise of the Spirit”–“The Spirit does not have to be begged – He comes when the Savior is honored and exalted!”
In Faith’s Checkbook, Spurgeon encourages us with the promise that “God Will Answer’–“Those who fear Him are men under the holiest influence, and, therefore, their desire is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.”
Our scripture for our prayer time from His Mercy Is New is Matthew 11:28-30 and we have an associated hymn text from Charlotte Elliott (writer of the familiar invitation hymn, “Just As I Am”), dating from the mid-1800’s, entitled, “Come to Me”.
Have a wonderFULL weekend, and I’ll see you here on Monday. 🙂
