Wishing you the most joyful Monday you’ve known in a long time. It starts here. ππ»β
We begin reading the little book of 2 John today, and we add verse 7 onto our memory passage, Matthew 5:3-7, learning the Beatitudes. We are writing about Priscilla, and we’ll talk a little about her. Streams in the Desert we are challenged to have “Obstinate Faith”–“One of the most essential qualities of the faith that is to attempt great things for God, and expect great things from God, is holy audacity.”
Tozer asks us if we will have “Hope or Despair” and addresses an interesting idea to think about…the “gift of knowing”. Spurgeon exhorts us to “Lead the Way”–“Should we allow the name of the Lord Jesus to be kept in the background? Should our religion drag along as a tail? Should it not rather lead the way and be the ruling force with ourselves and others?”
We have the hymn text, “The Way of the Cross Leads Home” by Jessie Brown Pounds to close out our podcast today.
Thanks for joining me as we wind down March and look forward to launching into April this week! πΊπΌπ·π»
