Happy Up-n-Over Day! Great things to talk about this morning–thanks for joining me! 📖🌻☕
We are reading the little epistle of Jude today. Moving forward, in response to our poll I think it is the best option to provide each day’s assigned reading reference for Revelation and then proceed with the rest of our daily resources as per usual. We’ll do this until We have reached the end of Week 52 of our reading schedule. We are writing Romans 16:3-5a as we consider a few more things about Priscilla in our scripture writing this morning, and we continue memorizing Matthew 5:3-7.
Streams in the Desert encourages us today to “Rely on God, Not Self”–“Cease meddling with God’s plans and will. You touch anything of His, and you mar the work. You may move the hands of a clock to suit you, but you do not change the time; so you may hurry the unfolding of God’s will, but you harm and do not help the work.”
Tozer considers “Man’s View of This World”–“It now becomes the bounden duty of every Christian to reexamine his spiritual philosophy in the light of the Bible. So much depends on this that we cannot afford to be careless about it!”
Spurgeon, with Philippians 4:6-7 as his on-ramp, writes about “Prayer, Thanksgiving, Praise”–“Allow no want to lie rankling in your bosom; “make known your requests.” Run not to man. Go only to your God, the Father of Jesus, who loves you in Him.”
We close by reading the words to “I Run to Christ” by Chris Anderson, which was mentioned previously on this podcast. Visit the Church Works Media site for lots of great, free resources.
