Okay, friends–happy Tuesday! Let’s open our Bibles together and sharpen our swords for the day. 📖🌻☕
Today’s chapter for you to read is Revelation 14, and we are writing Galatians 5:16-17 as we remind ourselves that we must continually be ready to do battle with the flesh while we live this earthly life. We continue memorizing Matthew 5:3-10 today.
Streams in the Desert, written today by Spurgeon, reminds us to “Stand Still”…especially when it is hardest–“In times of uncertainty, wait. Always, if you have any doubt, wait. Do not force yourself to any action. If you have a restraint in your spirit, wait until all is clear, and do not go against it.”
Tozer today proclaims that “God’s Word Gives Light”–“God’s Word giveth light. It has answer for every question that matters. The merely curious question it ignores, but every real inquiry made by the sincere heart is met with full light.” How desperately we need that light in this dark world!
Spurgeon help us remember that God is an “Expert Searcher”–“He will by providence and grace pursue them into foreign lands, into abodes of poverty, into dens of obscurity, into deeps of despair; He will not lose one of all that the Father has given Him. It is a point of honor with Jesus to seek and to save all the flock, without a single exception.”
We follow this theme as we pray Romans 12:10 over those in our family who are wandering, and as we look at the hymn text by Horatius Bonar, “I Was a Wandering Sheep”. Pray Jer. 29:13,14 over your family…that they would have hearts that seek Him. He promises to be found by them if they are searching for Him.
So glad you joined me today.
