Happy Wednesday, friends! Let’s get right into it…there is much to do for the Lord’s sake today and we need to be equipped.
Today we have Revelation 15 for our reading portion, and we are writing Ephesians 6:11-12, being reminded not to miss putting on any part of our armor today…and to be aware of the forces against we are doing battle. Do not be ignorant of his devices. We practice Matthew 5:3-10 by memory again this morning.
Streams in the Desert we consider what it looks like to live “By Thy Spirit”, taking hold of the power made available to us, and, as our poem today invites us, to “Abandon” ourselves to it.
Tozer reminds us of “Salvation’s Price”–“Actually, faith is a rare and wonderful plant that lives and grows only in the penitent soul.” Our relationship with Christ is precious indeed!
Spurgeon in Faith’s Checkbook encourages us to live “By Faith, Not Feeling”–“Lord, I believe. I must trust Thee wholly. What else can I do? Trusting Thee is my life. I feel it to be so. I will abide by this even to the end.”
We close considering “Morning Needs” from The Valley of Vision and praying for the ability to live in such a way that we esteem others before ourselves, claiming Romans 12:10.
How’s your armor looking today? I trust it’s more complete for having spent this time together this morning. ⚔️
