Hey, happy Friday! Let’s do some reading, memorizing, and praying together to finish this week out well and prepare us for the weekend! 📖☕
Today we continue in Luke 2 and we meet Simeon and Anna….don’t you want to be a faith-filled senior saint like them? Romans 1:20 tells us that God’s great creation has His fingerprints all over it…His might, power, and brilliance are clearly seen in each majestic mountain, awe-inspiring sunset, delicate snowflake, fragrant bloom, and magnificent butterfly. In Streams in the Desert we are commanded to “March Forward”. “The storms are but the outskirts of His robe”–love that. We also read Annie Johnson Flint’s poem, “The Red Sea Place”. Tozer speaks today of “Faithless Action and Actionless Faith”. Fruit, not trees. Think about that. In Faith’s Checkbook we consider “A Staircase to Heaven” and the explanation of Jacob’s Ladder (remember that passage in Genesis? Our verse on patience reminds us to hold our peace because the Lord will fight for us. Finally we close out this week with the hymn text, “How Sweet is My Rest”.
