Happy Wednesday, friends! 📖☕
Today, we read from the gospel of Luke, chapter 9. Jesus speaks with Moses and Elijah about the future timeline, and Jesus sets His sights steadfastly on Jerusalem. We are reminded that children are precious to God.For scripture writing today, we write a verse from the Sh’ma, commonly known as a portion memorized for the bar mitzvah .
In our reading from Evening and Morning with Tozer, our passage is “Living as Light in the World”. Streams in the Desert speaks of the idea that “Polish Comes Through Trouble”. Quiet and peace doesn’t always result in beauty. In Faith’s Checkbook, Spurgeon introduces us to “A Mountain Choir”. God cannot fail us.
In our prayer scripture, Romans 12:12, hope, patience, and prayer join hands. We close with “The Church’s One Foundation” from 1866, which goes along with our theme of Unity. Thanks for joining me today!
