
Continuing in the gospel of Luke this morning, we see God’s love for little ones, and our need to be like them in humility, lack of pretension, and a more simple list of priorities. Our scripture writing passage reminds us of what it looks like to be a member of the body.
Streams in the Desert speaks today of “Our Helper in Prayer” from Hebrews 4. What is the role of Jesus in our prayers? Why do we say, “in Jesus’ name”, anyway? With Tozer in the Morning “The Changing External and the Unchanging Internal” makes us think about all the things which have changed since the time of Jesus…and what has been time-tested and unaltered through the ages.
“Looking for Him” is the topic for Faith’s Checkbook today from Hebrews 9. Again in Hebrews, this time in chapter 10, we are reminded of God’s faithfulness in keeping his promises for our prayer scripture. And our hymn text today by Stuart Townend reminds us of the many facets of that faithfulness.
