Good morning! 📖🌻☕
This morning we read from John 15, and we hear Jesus’ high priestly prayer. He is the Vine and we are the branches…we must be vitally connected to Him.
Today’s scripture writing verse is Mark 11:25–forgive others the same way you wish to be forgiven so you. Streams in the Desert today contains a poem entitled “Alone”…to be alone and yet in His company
Tozer tells us about “Responding to the Wake-Up Call”, citing the book of Ephesians, which was written to “asleep” Christians. Let us not be “almost awake, but not quite”.
Faith’s Checkbook discerns between “Seekers and Finders”. He will not refuse His fellowship for those who are truly seeking Him. You will never seek Him in vain. Our prayer journal verse on faithfulness is 1 Cor. 10:13–God is faithful to deliver us in temptation and make a way of escape. Have you ever had a time when you came to Him begging for escape? I have.
We close with a hymn text regarding seeking and finding–“Ho Everyone That is Thirsty in Spirit”…”I will bring floods upon the dry ground…while you are seeking me, I will be found”.
Thanks for joining me!
