Okay, Happy Up-And-Over Day! šš»ā
This morning we finish Psalm 10, finding hope in the constancy of God’s character and sovereignty. We write a modified version of our “True Beauty” passage, Ezekiel 16:13-14, and we are continuing to memorize Proverbs 2:1-2.
Grace for Today has to do with “Three Fatal Errors About Baptism”–an important thing to have a solid biblical understanding about. “It is the believerās first act of obedience to Christ as Lord. And it is a public, symbolic confession of our faith in Christ. Baptism has no saving efficacy, but it is an essential point of the believerās obedience to Christ.”
Our devotional from “My Utmost for His Highest” exhorts us in the matter of “Living Simply, Yet Focused”–“The people who influence us the most are not those who detain us with their continual talk, but those who live their lives like the stars in the sky and āthe lilies of the fieldāā simply and unaffectedly.”
We close with Matthew 7:21, praying this for our extended family, and looking at the hymn text, “Before the Throne of God Above” by Charitie Bancroft–“My name is graven on His hands, My name is written on His heart” (referenced in Isa. 49:16).
So glad you dropped by today!
