Here we are, teetering on the brink of a new month! Let’s finish well! 📖🌻☕
Our Proverbs reading is chapter 31 today, and together we are reading Psalm 18:20-30, and we are challenged about being “intrepid” today! Our final verse on “True Beauty” from The Ruffled Mango scripture writing list is Revelation 2:1-3, speaking of the beauties of the new heaven and the new earth, as well as the Bride of Christ. We continue with our scripture memory passage, Proverbs 2:1-4.
Days of Heaven on Earth reminds us what it looks like to become “as a little child”–“Whenever we grow stilted we are only fit for a picture gallery, and we are only good on a pedestal; but, if we are going to live among men and love and save them, we must be approachable and human.”
In My Utmost for His Highest, we are exhorted to “Put God First”–“If I put my trust in human beings first, the end result will be my despair and hopelessness toward everyone. I will become bitter because I have insisted that people be what no person can ever be— absolutely perfect and right.”
We have Philippians 1:6 as our prayer scripture, and we consider what it looks like to be “confident”. Our hymn text by Isaac Watts is inspired by Psalm 138: Grace will complete what grace begins, To save from sorrows or from sins The work that wisdom undertakes Eternal mercy ne’er forsakes.
See you “next month”! 😉
