Alrighty! Let’s begin this new week! 📖🌻☕
We are reading Psalm 20–a psalm written by a king, for a king. The same confidence with which he met Goliath is what we see in verse 7–“Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.” Our Proverbs reading for today is chapter 6, and we are adding verse 5 onto our scripture memory passage, Proverbs 2:1-5. Our scripture writing verses from The Planning Woman are found in Psalm 26:1-3.
Days of Heaven on Earth has to do with how God does His biggest “renovation” of us after our souls are confident, rooted and grounded in love–“This generally comes after conversion. I do not think it necessary for a soul to have deep and great suffering before it is saved. I think He will put it into the fire when He knows it is saved; when it realizes it is accepted; when it is not afraid of the discipline; when it is not the hand of wrath, but the hand of love.”
Chambers in My Utmost for His Highest explains the Holy Spirit’s role when we “Work Out” What God Works in You”–“The only thing to do with this barrier of stubbornness is to blow it up with “dynamite,” and the “dynamite” is obedience to the Holy Spirit.”
Our prayer scripture is 2 Peter 3:18, and we talk a bit about how we “keep on growing” in grace, and then we consider some verse by Anna L. Waring on “Sunlight of the heavenly day” as we are growing.
So…”how does your garden grow”? 🌼🌻🌷🌼🌻🌷
